The Prince William SPCA is funded entirely by private donations. Our funding comes from the community, not any government agency or national organization. The money we raise is returned back to the greater Prince William County region in the form of programs that support companion animals.

Donate to the Spay/Neuter Endowment Fund

The Prince William SPCA has established a Spay/Neuter Endowment Fund and dedicated $10,000 of its reserves to help stop pet over population within the region. It plans to develop a program to offer reduced cost spays and neuters for companion animals in the community. Spaying and neutering pets lowers the number of animals that end up in the local shelters. Many of these animals never find homes and are instead euthanized. To make a donation to this fund, please mail your check, made out to the PWSPCA, to: PO Box 6631, Woodbridge, VA 22195.

Provide a Comfortable Bed for a Shelter Dog

You can help make homeless dogs more comfortable during their stay at the shelter. How? Elevate them off of the cold, hard, damp, concrete floor by donating a Kuranda dog bed. Our two local shelters use these beds at night, but are in need of many more. At www.kuranda.com, choose “Donate a Bed” from the top bar. Next “Select your shelter by state,” then choose either “Prince William County Animal Shelter” or “City of Manassas Animal Adoption Center.” Both facilities are registered with a wish list of beds. Your donated bed will be shipped directly to the shelter of your choice. Please consider donating a bed and dedicating it in honor of, or in memory of, a special pet or person. If you would like your donation mentioned in the next issue of Paw On-line, forward a copy of your Donation Order emailed to you by Kuranda USA, along with your dedication information, to outreach@pwspca.org.
