What's New!

PWSPCA Partners with ACTS on Operation Turkey The PWSPCA will once again partner with ACTS to help with Operation Turkey. ACTS provides holiday meals to families in need and the PWSPCA donates pet food for the family dog or cat. Turkey bones and scraps are not good for pets so the PWSPCA encourages families to opt for pet food instead. Last year, the PWSPCA donated 150 pet food packages and hopes to double that number in 2008. Donations of pet food will be accepted through November 20th. E-mail the PWSPCA if you need a drop off location. Cash or gift card donations welcome. For a flyer on how you can help ACTS, click here.

PetLifeRadio.com Features Kane
The #1 pet podcast radio network, PetLifeRadio.com, featured Kane, a Golden Retriever Collie Mix who was adopted from the Prince William County Animal Shelter.  The host of "Take Me Home" Susan Daffron talked to Angie Platten, a volunteer for the Prince William SPCA.  Angie and other volunteers visit the shelter weekly to photograph and write descriptions for Petfinder.com.  Their work helps to get the shelter pets on-line and noticed by a wide audience. The podcast featuring Kane aired the week of July 14th but can be heard by clicking here.

PWSPCA Sponsors Spay/Neuter Assistance Program for Cats

Prince William SPCA: Serving Greater Prince William County, Virginia
The Prince William SPCA was established to benefit the animals of the greater Prince William County, Virginia, area. This all-volunteer organization is dedicated to protecting domestic animals from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment, and stopping the unnecessary overpopulation of companion animals.
